Family Fireworks

Our New Year's celebration was small and sweet. We toasted the new year around 5:00 p.m. by drinking Sparkling "Wine" a/k/a fancy grape juice. The girls weren't so sure if they liked it or not. Then, once it became dark outside, we moved to the edge of the driveway - it's a Middleburg thing - to watch Daddy's fireworks display. The girls LOVED every minute of it. It makes me very proud when they are happy with the simple things. I am not a complex girl so simple is a good thing. Happy New Year!

New Year, New Design

I decided this year, once we removed the holiday decorations, to rearrange some of my furniture pieces. The layout of my great room does not allow me to move much, but when I get an idea I go for it! One of my favorite things to do is decorate and re-design living spaces. The changes I have made a very subtle, and may only last a month or two, but right now I am enjoying the "new" look on my "old" spaces. And that's exactly how my interior spaces are styled, I enjoy new and I enjoy old. Take me to the Pottery Barn store or to the flea market any day!

Better Late Than Never

The girls have a tradition of creating a gingerbread house every year, only this year we weren't able to make one until after the big day. They spend a good bit of time sitting down together and working as a team carefully creating a wonderful masterpiece. It only takes a few seconds to snap a few photos and they are ready to devour it. They enjoy tasting the yummy gingerbread, but most of all eating the candy that comes with it. Now if only we could get to our Christmas cookies before Valentine's Day. Do you think anyone would notice if they received a reindeer cookie with a heart on it?

Welcome!

Hey there! I can't believe I'm tip-toeing my way through a New Year's resolution on the eve of New Year's Eve. I've been an admirer of several blog spots for some time now and thought for the new year that I would try to create one of my own...well, here I am. It should be an interesting adventure. I don't know where we are headed, but we will soon see. I want to use this outlet as a space for my "creative organization" thus, the name of my spot. I enjoy so many creative things, it's hard to list them all. I will give you a sampling as the days progress. ~Carla
