And, here's what I came up with last night using the On Board "So Tweet" owl from Stampin' Up:
I love the color choices and honestly, I can't say that I would have naturally put these colors together....that's what I LOVE about participating in challenges! I started with a kraft base (have you noticed yet that I love anything kraft?) and embossed my blue cardstock using the Cuttlebug Swirls folder, then I added a K&Company strip sticker along with a piece of SEI polka dot paper and an orange paper strip embellishment from Bazzill. Here's the close up:
The small die cut letters are from the new Sizzix Billboard strip die also from Stampin' Up. It is perfect for cards and times when you need something smaller than the Cricut machine cuts, which for me is one (1) inch. The owl is covered paper from my scrap stash. The word bubble is a free-handed embellishment I made myself.
